Ordinary Member

Open to Malaysian citizens aged 18 and above who reside in Malaysia. Membership is open regardless of race, gender or religion.

Associate Member

Open to persons who do not meet the criteria for Ordinary Membership.

Honorary Member

For persons who have served the community and can contribute to MUBA. Determined by the Committee and exempted from fees.

Lifetime Member

Open to Ordinary Members who pay the prescribed one-time lifetime membership fee.

Application Process

  1. Application must be proposed and supported by a member.
  2. The Secretary submits the application to the Committee.
  3. The Committee may approve or reject at its discretion.
  4. Approved applicants become members after paying the entrance fee and first subscription.

  3. Honorary Member: Persons who have served society and can contribute to MUBA; determined by the Committee and exempt from fees.
  4. Lifetime Member: Open to Ordinary Members who pay the one-time fee.
  5. Youth Member: Not applicable.
  6. Applications must be proposed and supported by a member and submitted to the Secretary for Committee consideration.
  1. A member wishing to resign must give two weeks’ written notice to the Secretary and settle all debts.
  2. Members who breach the constitution or damage MUBA’s reputation may be suspended or terminated, subject to written notice and opportunity to defend themselves.

  3. Annual subscription must be paid within seven days from the beginning of each year.
  4. MUBA may receive donations in money or goods.
  5. MUBA may conduct economic activities including selling, buying, investing, renting and owning movable and immovable property.

  2. MUBA and members must not interfere with business, prices or trade union activities.

  4. Benefits under the Societies Act 1966 may not be given to members.
  5. Profits from economic activities must be channelled back to MUBA’s objectives and not distributed as member profit or bonus.

  2. Amendment applications must be submitted to the Registrar of Societies within 60 days and only take effect after approval.
  1. MUBA may be voluntarily dissolved with approval of at least three-fifths of voting members at a specially called General Meeting.
  2. Debts and liabilities must be settled, and remaining funds dealt with as decided by that General Meeting.
  3. The dissolution application must be submitted to the Registrar within 14 days.
